We have ourselves another purebred Remix Mullet Cat up for adoption! We considered petitioning Petfinder to add in a “mullet cat” selection to the breed drop down menu, but decided that perhaps the logistics of getting our favorite kind of once-feral cat recognized as the legitimate breed that it is might require a little more legwork than we care to invest at this juncture. Regardless, meet Bug! Bug had the distinct good fortune of strutting his sassy self in front of Lexie, one of our most beloved volunteers this past summer at an area lake. A few hours later, she trapped the cat and took him home. Initially, Bug was QUITE displeased with this forced relocation, but In just a few short days, Bug began to remember the life he evidently had once, indoors in the lap of the person who loved him. This fella has all the characteristics of a Remix Mullet Cat we have all come to know and (mostly) love. For starters, his coat: snow white, with a splash of gray up top that is all business in the front, party in the back. And make no mistake, he’s all business about affection. The guy is insane about snuggles, and we do mean insane. Like, he might need a therapist. He wants the pets, and if you aren’t giving the right pets, he will send a message you cannot ignore. Might be a high five to redirect your attention, might be the grazing of a tooth- no matter the method, you will be made aware that your petting skills suck and you WILL do better! Some people love the sound of their own voice, and Bug is definitely one of those people. He enjoys chatting with you about anything and everything going on in your world or his, but mostly, Bug just wants to be near his people and never end up on his own again. He is guessed to be around three years of age, fully vetted and FELV/FIV negative. Bug is a litter box champion who loves to play and purr and get what he wants when he wants it.
