My Story

Did you just say to yourself, that what your home is missing is a cat with the biggest thumbs in town? If so, we have the kitty for you! This is the handsome as can be, Hemi. Hemi came to us through no fault of his own, but only after his previous owner was unable to care for him any longer. Sweet Hemi is a senior boy, with an estimated birthdate of 11/1/10, so he's about 14 years. old. Even though Hemi is an older kitty, he still gets around just fine, and even plays quite a bit. He really likes wand toys that have strings attached to them. But lets be honest, he's an old guy, and his most favorite thing in the world is to be cuddled up on a couch with his person, or in a nice, soft kitty tree. Hemi is a big framed kitty, but is rather thin. That isn't unheard of in older kitties, but we would still like to see a little weight added to his frame. He eats dry food just fine, but he's a big fan of canned food, and would do best if he receives that a couple of times a day, in addition to his dry diet. Hemi is a good boy and doesn't ask for much. We would love to see him find his forever home soon, as the shelter is just no place for a senior kitty, who just wants a peaceful place to live. Hemi gets along fine with other kitties, and if they get a bit too rambunctious for his liking, he will take that mitt of a paw and give the "offender" a little whack and they leave him alone. We don't know for sure how he is with dogs, but would likely be fine with a respectful dog. Do you have room in your home to adopt this pretty cool polydactyl boy?
