Keep reading to learn more about Ballerina… (The good part): Ballerina is about 5 years old and 35 pounds. She found her way to Sanctuary Rescue from a difficult & stressful living situation. She is learning how to dog, more importantly, how to be a family dog. Foster mom says, “Ballerina is a delightful mix of sweetness and goofiness. She really enjoys the comfort of having another dog around. She is warming up to humans and makes progress every day. She is a bit of a challenge in walks. She will stop and refuse to move at times. She needs encouragement to enter a crate but settles nicely once inside. Still learning to trust and navigate life as a dog, Ballerina will do best with a kind and patient family. She needs a calmer household environment and someone who understands that she needs time to open up on her own terms." Ballerina is gaining confidence every day, but she is timid in new places and new situations. One thing that really makes her to be brave, is the companionship of other dogs. She became fast friends with the pup in her foster home. We feel like the best forever home for her will have at least one other dog. Ballerina is truly an amazing dog who has blossomed in her foster home and will make a loving and loyal companion. She is housebroken, crate trained and is learning to walk on a leash. She is fully vetted and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives. Ballerina currently lives with a cat and completely ignores the cat. Ballerina's adoption fee is $350, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay, and microchip.
