**Please note, we are looking for an experienced adopter for Curry**
This little boy and his siblings (Sichuan, Kimchi, Salsa, and Wasabi!) started life in a rough way, born to a feral mom in business parking lot in Santa Fe Springs who was extremely skilled at evading our TNR efforts. And to top it of, she was extremely smart, after her previous litter were scooped up and put on the fast track to indoor VIP life, this mama was not about to have another litter also scooped up from her.
Regular traps had to be set aside for this special ops mission-- we finally were able to catch the whole family by turning the atrium of the business into the trap, with an employee walking around the outside of the building to shut the door from the outside. Unfortunately this happened after this litter were already 8 weeks old and very wary of humans due to the diligent training of their mama.
It has been awhile since then, but Curry is still in the middle of his socialization journey. When your mama tells you big giants will catch you and eat you, it can take some time to realize that isn't true-- and to be honest the jury is still out on that one for Curry. He has never once bit or scratched, and thankfully he has long since stopped hissing or growling, but he is still very skittish. He and his brother Wasabi are the only two hold outs in their litter of five.
Curry is the more skittish of the two, and it's only occasionally that you can manage a few good pets on him while he's eating. He's still got a ways to go before he's truly comfortable. This little guy needs some more time to come out of his shell, but we think that he could do that with a patient and loving forever family a little easier than in a crowded foster space. The only time Curry really comes out of his shell is when it's playtime with a feather wand toy so you are at a bit of a distance, he also loves chasing after chucked bell balls and crinkle toys.
Because of Curry's specific socialization needs, he (and Wasabi) are among the only kittens in our current batch that are cleared to go home as a solo kitty. Socialization can sometimes be hampered by kittens becoming reliant on their litter mates (or foster siblings), so dividing and conquering is a pretty common tactic!
Curry is available for adoption outright, but due to the nature of needing socialization, we also have the option for foster-to-adopt. He's going to need TLC, but we think there is a loving little guy under all those nerves and anxiety about big scary humans. If you have any questions about Curry, or our foster-to-adopt process, please feel free to reach out to us at

All of the kittens at this rescue are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, deflea'd, dewormed, and microchipped! The adoption fee for any kitten their age is $175 and is payable to Cats & Cuddles, a local non-profit rescue that is dedicated to finding friendly kitties homes and helping stop the cycle of kittens being born on the rough streets to ever expanding feral colonies!
