Timmy is a 5 mth old corgi pup who came to us from a puppy mill with very damaged eyes that had not been treated. He was already blind. The eyes were removed to prevent further infection, pain and possible rupture and he is now a very happy boy. He has fast learned the layout of our home and yard ( https://www.facebook.com/New2Urescue/videos/1583271825869365 ) and is very typical puppy. He does fine with the dogs and cats in his foster home but needs understanding animals in any adoptive home. He cannot see body language of existing dogs and is still learning communication skills. He would be fine with older kids who can understand his blindness but no toddlers. Best in home where you have a bit of open space for his movement and are not rearranging furniture too often. Timmy is typical puppy loves to explore and will get into things if allowed but is also very responsive to being called and loves attention and cuddles. He is doing well with his house training and is crate trained. With further time and training he will be an amazing companion. He is neutered and vaccinated, ready for a home to call his own. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs. All our dogs have been treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
